The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience, seniority, etc. The contract is outside of IR35, and the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service to our client and will be expected to be proactive and self-motivated in delivering the targeted outputs to support the product.This role will involve the Manufacturing Engineer to be based at one of the Expleo offices with some remote working and will report directly to the Unit Delivery Leader (UDL).Working within the ME team in our Aero Business Unit, successful candidates will join our experienced team, with whom you will work on varied projects in high-tech and future-oriented industries taking on exciting and responsible tasks according to your skills and knowledge, thus expanding your existing know-how. Responsibilities Compilation and update of CNC Programmes for multi-sized componentsCreation of prove-out sheets and support Tape Try-outs of new programsUnderstanding and interpretation of customer specifications and engineering drawingsUpdate and optimisation of CNC Programs to reduce run timesAssist within all aspects of engineering the production process, material flow and machine utilisation.Integrate work holding methods aspart of the processLiaise and support the operations teamCreation of set up sheetsKnowledge of tool cutter technology and utilisationProduce Engineering outputs to meet on-target delivery dates and Quality requirementsDesign, Commissioning and proving of associated toolingResolution of technical problems that may arise during the manufacturing process Ensure ‘Right First Time’ is met in-line with Business KPI’sBe involved with continuous improvement process & offer improvement suggestionsInterface with external stakeholders to understand technical issues / specificationsThe role will be to develop & manage current production processes to improve Quality, Cost & Time measures whilst supporting planning and the introduction of new products and processesAttend reviews (both internal and external) where requiredWorking in accordance with Expleo QMS and customer quality requirements Qualifications Engineering degree, or equivalent, with proven practical Engineering & manufacturing knowledge and experience Skills Proactive ‘Team Player’ with a focus on delivery and quality who can work and act autonomouslyAbility to liaise at all levels of the business management structureExcellent communication skills and decision makerHave good written and verbal communication skills and be capable of making sound technical judgements and appropriate decisionsAssertiveness, independent, structured way of working and the ability to find oneself in a multicultural working environment Experience Proven experience of 3 & 5-Axis CNC Programming of Aluminium work piecesExpert-level knowledge of CATIA V5 CNC Programming ModulesExperience of CGTech Vericut V9.1Experience of Manufacturing Processes and standardsSeveral years of professional experience in a manufacturing environmentAerospace experience preferable but other industries consideredProactive Team Player with a focus on delivery and qualityGood communicator who is professional during interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
